A simpler front door for East Kent

Report East Kent v3 builds on the original reporting directory I created at danfriend.co.uk/report. The aim is simple: residents should not have to understand which tier of local government or public body owns a problem before they can report it.
Independent, not official
This service is independently provided by Cllr Dan Friend. It is not operated by or affiliated with Kent County Council, Dover District Council, Thanet District Council, Canterbury City Council, Kent Police, National Highways or utility companies. Official reports are made on those organisations’ own websites or telephone services.
Privacy by design
The core service works without an account. If you use a postcode or current location, that location information is sent to Postcodes.io solely to identify the administrative area. Saved “My Reports” data stays in this browser on this device. Normal web hosting/security logs may still record standard connection information such as IP address and browser details.
Why official forms?
Official systems can check live service information, detect duplicates, allocate work internally and issue the authoritative reference number. Report East Kent therefore helps with triage and routing rather than pretending to submit into closed council systems.
