My name is Dan Friend, and I'm a family man with a deep commitment to serving my local community. I'm married to my wife Megan and have four children, and I'm proud to live and work in Sandwich. I've served as a District Councillor since 2021, and I'm excited to bring my passion for service and community to this campaign.
I'm dedicated to making Sandwich and Woodnesborough the best they can be, and I deeply understand the wants and needs of the community. As a trustee, committee member over the years for many local groups, including Citizens Advice, Gazen Salts Nature Reserve, Sandwich is Open, Sandwich United Charity, Great Oaks Small School, Community Caretakers, The P22 Trust, Talk it Out, Chamber of Commerce, and the Royal British Legion, and many more! I'm committed to making a difference and helping these groups achieve their goals.
As someone who lives and works in the area, I have a firsthand understanding of the community's challenges and opportunities. I'm committed to responsible growth, equitable opportunities for all, and community engagement. I believe in listening to the needs of the people, working together to achieve common goals, and making decisions that will benefit the community for years to come.
